GATS 2017

The Great American Trucking Show (GATS) is coming up – are you going to be there? We will, and we want to see you there. The event will be held in Dallas, Texas on August 25th through 27th, and it will be featuring concerts, a free health screening, and pavilions that will allow you to discover new gadgets and gizmos that are being introduced to the trucking world. Let’s talk in-depth about each one:

One of the cool things that happen at GATS is concerts – this year’s performer is John Michael Montgomery with Tony Justice as the opening act. The concert will be held Friday, August 26th and will be free to all who attend the truck show. However, the live concert will not be the only thing GATS has up its sleeve; the trucking show will also be showcasing a talent search – allowing Overdrive-Red Eye Radio’s Trucker Talent Search finalists to perform live on stage in front a panel of judges and an entertained crowd. The winner will get a cash prize and the opportunity to have a studio recording session.

Free Health Screenings

The Great American Trucking Show also wants to make sure that drivers are happy and healthy, so the show will provide the opportunity for truckers to get free health screenings. The screenings can be found at the Landstar Health & Wellness Pavilion, and the free screenings range from diabetes testing to sleep apnea screenings. The health & wellness pavilion will also be holding a blood drive as well as bone marrow donor registration. The GATS website provides a full list of all health screenings, so you can be prepared for what they might provide.

Discovery Pavilion

The Discovery Pavilion will allow truckers to see and test out new products that are on the market or about to be launched. The GATS website makes it clear on why they decided to add this interactive feature to their show, explaining, “The Great American Trucking Show is more than a trade show, it’s an avenue to discover the trucking industry!”

The Great American Trucking Show is a great place for truckers to learn more about the trucking industry, to keep up-to-date on their health screenings, and connect with other drivers. Registration for the event is live on their website. We can’t wait to see you there.
